MPE is currently looking for a full-time Communication Officer (38h/week).

About Metal Packaging Europe:

Metal Packaging Europe (https://metalpackagingeurope.org) is a Brussels-based industry association, which brings together more than 200 manufacturers and their national associations, to promote the benefits of rigid metal packaging at European level.

Key responsibilities:

You will manage projects aimed at external audiences (e.g. social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), online campaigns, the association’s trademark, press releases, opinions, as well as manage internal communication towards the membership (quarterly Newsletter and Annual Activity Report). You will liaise with the various horizontal working groups as well as market-specific commissions as well as external agencies and other associations, where relevant.

You are encouraged to bring value to projects to increase awareness of key stakeholders about the benefits of rigid metal packaging in helping to achieve a sustainable circular economy, using off-line communication in combination with innovative online/digital marketing possibilities.

The successful candidate will have a strategic approach to communication, a progressive outlook towards finding the best solutions.

You enjoy working at a strategic level but are also willing to deal with small details and practical everyday tasks, in order to ensure flawless communication between the network and its members and the outside world.

The working language is English.

Desired Profile:

• University Degree in Marketing, Communications or similar
• Minimum five years’ work experience in communication
• Linguistic skills: fluent in English. Any additional EU language will be an asset.
• Pro-active ‘hands-on’ approach to work
• Eye for detail and high degree of accuracy
• Organisational skills and multitasker’s mindset
• Autonomous, efficient, flexible and team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the workings of current online communication media (social, website etc.)
• Experience working with Drupal
• Experience working with Canva
