Metal Packaging Europe (https://metalpackagingeurope.org) is a Brussels-based industry association, which brings together more than 200 manufacturers and their national associations, to promote the benefits of rigid metal packaging at European level.
About the role: The Project Manager will have a dual role: coordinating the work of the Beverage Commission whilst also supporting the various horizontal Working Groups with sustainability matters.
Your tasks:
- Prepare and drive meetings of the Beverage Commission
- Animate the meetings of the Beverage Commission’s Executive Committee
- Be the link between the Beverage Commission and the Country Groups at national level and follow the progress being made on the various projects
- Keep the Beverage Commission informed of all relevant work being done in Metal Packaging Europe’s horizontal working groups
- Support the Beverage Commission’s Communication working group
- Support the Metal Packaging Europe’s horizontal working groups on sustainability issues
Profile:
- A degree in Environmental Sciences or similar;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sustainability issues management at European level, with a clear understanding of waste/packaging-related issues;
- Project management skills, strong leadership and result-orientated;
- Strategic and analytical thinker;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas/concepts, to adjust language and style to specific target audiences, and to deliver structured and convincing presentations;
- Ability to construct and communicate coherent arguments from complex technical/scientific data.
- Willing to travel within Europe for business (maximum 20%);
- A good team player, able to multitask and manage different priorities;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent level of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of another languages is an asset;
