EU Advocacy and communication intern
About Metal Packaging Europe Metal Packaging Europe (https://metalpackagingeurope.org) is a Brussels-based industry association, which brings together more than 200 manufacturers, suppliers and their national associations, to promote the benefits of rigid metal packaging at European level.
About the role: We are looking for an EU advocacy and research intern for a six-month internship.
Your tasks:
- Research and draft background materials on EU policy and activities;
- Support the advocacy team in monitoring closely and preparing regular news summaries and updates on EU policies and institutions, as well as EU member state developments; • Review and prepare summaries and analysis of EU policy documents;
- Prepare and attend advocacy meetings, participate to conferences and events and prepare event reports and meeting notes; • Provide assistance for the organization of events and projects;
- Provide general administrative support.
Profile:
- Degree in a related field, preferably European studies, Economics, Law, Political Science
- Fluent in English is a must (written and spoken). Any additional EU language will be an asset.
- Knowledge of European policy making
- Experience in EU advocacy and legal research is an advantage
- Pro-active ‘hands-on’ approach to work to manage a number of simultaneous tasks
- Strong research skills with an eye for detail and high degree of accuracy
- High level of flexibility and willingness to support other staff members with their tasks and general office administration, where necessary \
- Autonomous, efficient, flexible and team player with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
The internship is a paid full-time position
