Field of activity
The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH supports various German federal departments and the European Commission in the planning, organization and implementation of high-level events.
Our event management department in Brussels works in close cooperation with the responsible units in the various federal departments and the various directorates general of the European Commission. Project teams and various sub-areas of event organization are coordinated by the project management. In all areas, both the competence for flexible, independent and forward-looking work is required as well as the willingness to integrate into the coordination of the overall process.

The activity offered with this call relates to the sub-area event management for the organization of events. You have the following properties:

Your tasks

  • invitation management
  • Registration of event participants
  • Liaison with event participants
  • Support in the quality assurance of all services (including kick-offs, briefings, jour fixes)

  • Booking of event services (flight tickets, train tickets, hotels, catering, equipment, interpreters, taxis, etc.)

your profile

  • Completed university degree or training, ideally in event / event management, communication, political or economics or a comparable qualification
  • Mind. 2 years of work experience and very good skills in event and conference management, experience in project management, including operation planning, budget planning and monitoring)
  • Experience in the efficient design of work processes and administrative processes, as well
  • Ability to solve problems pragmatically
  • Knowledge of maintaining subscriber databases
  • Experience in qualitative participant management
  • Experience / knowledge in the field of data protection
  • Knowledge of the (international) political landscape and processes are desirable

  • Experience in controlling service providers
