Qualifications We Are Looking For

Tipik S.A. is a dynamic Brussels-based consultancy providing multi-disciplinary services to the European Commission and other EU institutions, and to national public authorities and international organisations.

We are seeking to recruit a Project manager/Legal consultant to consolidate our Brussels-based department. The position involves coordination and supervision of the different steps required to submit legal tenders and - depending of the tenders’ workplan- coordination of compliance assessment projects.

Responsibilities

Legal tenders:

  • Lead the development of proposal strategies;
  • Establish and maintain the proposal outline and the proposal schedule;
  • Preliminary research and contextual analysis of the topic and legal instrument under scrutiny & preparation of guidelines for the contributors;
  • Identify and engage partner organisations and experts specialised in various areas of EU legislation at a pan-European scale at the proposal stage;
  • Build the proposal compliance matrix and track the fulfilment of all requirements;
  • Organise the kick-off meeting, solution development meeting(s), key review meetings and any other necessary meeting;
  • Coordinate the work flow and involvement of all proposal stakeholders (in-house and external);
  • Give direction to the writing/editing/rewriting efforts and review all proposal inputs and outputs to ensure compliance and responsiveness;
  • Occasionally write certain sections of the proposals.

Legal projects:

  • Project monitoring and control: guiding and monitoring the team of national experts and overseeing the timely completion of tasks; reviewing the content of the national reports ensuring that the quality of deliverables meets the client’s requirements;
  • Establish and manage day-to-day relations with the client and organise any necessary meeting;
  • Create/manage/save documents relating to project management in accordance with the internal procedure requirements;
  • Risk management & problem solving.

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in EU law;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience (excluding traineeships) is mandatory;
  • In-depth knowledge of EU law and EU policy-making processes is mandatory;
  • Demonstrable experience in leading bid/proposal processes and managing bid/proposal teams for the EU institutions in response to calls for tenders for services;
  • Previous experience in carrying out law and/or policy studies or compliance assessments, gained in the EU institutions or in a consultancy, is an asset.

  • Clear, concise and accurate writing skills in English, including the ability to review and edit the work of others;
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills;
  • An independent, self-starter personality with a commitment to quality;
  • Highly motivated, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work;
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Computer literacy: Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (especially MS Word).
