Tipik is a dynamic Brussels-based consultancy providing multi-disciplinary services to the EU institutions, national public authorities and other international organisations. Its legal branch, Tipik Legal, is undertaking legal studies on various policy areas for the EU institutions.
Currently we are looking for Freelance Legal Experts for short-term assignments in all EU Member States as well as one Project Manager (per area as indicated below).
Profile:
- Education: Master’s degree in law (from the relevant country) or Master’s degree in EU law;
- Professional experience of at least 3 years in one of the following areas:
- EU environmental law or national environmental law (air, chemicals, nature, waste, water);
- Financial services legislation (financial stability, financial services and capital markets);
- For the Project Manager: + 3 years of experience in project management and team management.
- Excellent spoken and written English (C1 or C2);
- Research and analytical skills, including critical approach and attention to details;
- Ability to follow precise instructions & guidelines.
Job description
The tasks to be performed:
Freelance Legal Experts (in all EU Member States):
- Legal data collection, analysis of national legislation and comparative legal analysis in one of the above-listed areas. Specific aspects will depend on the particular project;
- The consultancy work is carried out remotely; there is no need to relocate. You are free to organise your tasks and to work at your own pace within set deadlines. Whilst assignments cannot be guaranteed, many of our external experts have been collaborating with us for many years.
Project Manager (Brussels-based):
- Overseeing project delivery - briefing and providing assistance and guidance to team members and liaising with Legal Experts from all EU Member States on a daily basis. Closely monitoring the progress of their work and ensuring consistency in the studies. Taking a legal project through to completion, ensuring the highest quality and meeting the deadlines set;
- Quality control of delivered service - coordinating the quality assurance measures, ensuring consistency and harmonisation of all deliverables, reporting to the Project Director on any issues raised or encountered by the production team and proposing corrective and preventive measures, implementing quality guidelines and approving the deliverables for submission to the client;
- Client orientation and conflict resolution - establishing and managing day-to-day relations with the client.
