Position Purpose
Under the general technical supervision of the Head, DCR, the Officer provides support in the processes related to the effective management of the compliance and operational risks faced by the bank.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
In the area of Compliance Risk Management, the Officer assists with:
- KYC/integrity issues relating to the bank's operations;
- integrity and compliance-related requests from third parties;
- requirements of the Bank’s Code of Conduct;
- cross-border domiciliation-related requirements of operations;
- internal and external investigations;
- requirements of international regulations;
- training of staff on compliance risk- related issues;
- drafting and updating rules for DCR;
- review of rules of other units;
- performance of compliance reviews of the bank’s activities.
In the area of Operational Risk Management, the Officer assists with:
- review of the Office’s and the bank’s policies and procedures from the operational risk perspective;
- implementation and maintenance of the bank’s operational risk monitoring and control system;
- quantifying operational risk for the bank’s activities;
- advising staff on operational risk matters and facilitating reporting of relevant risk information;
- investigations of internal and external fraud;
- new products approval process;
- managing the corporate insurance (but not property insurance) coverage of the Bank;
- tracking and assessing the Bank’s key risk indicators within the framework of the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan;
- matters of physical security and safety of the staff and premises;
- requirements of international standards and regulations;
- training of staff on operational risk-related issues.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- First-level University degree or equivalent in law, finance, economics or risk management;
- Professional qualification(s) such as certified AML expert, or certified Fraud Examiner, or certified Risk Manager or any equivalent certification;
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the Compliance field at a major commercial bank or International Financial Institution.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in the areas, for which the first-level University degree is required;
- Knowledge of a member country language;
- Working experience of at least 2 years in the Compliance field in the CIS countries.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
For a candidate to participate in the competitive selection for this position, s/he must meet at least the following minimum requirements:
- Education: First-level University degree or equivalent in law, finance, economics or risk management; or a first-level University degree in any other area followed by a postgraduate degree in the above areas;
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
