Responsibilities:

As General Manager of WIL Europe, you will therefore have the great challenge to support the association’s strategic growth by consolidating its foundations and exploring new ways to be relevant and helpful to the network.

To succeed in this position, you should have a strong interest not only in promoting the professional advancement of women but also in organising high-level events and creating a platform where our members and talents can learn on various topics, open their horizons and develop their business or activities.

Missions:

General Management

  • Define and propose the association’s strategic plan to the Board of Directors;
  • Implement the strategy and develop new initiatives to support the growth of the association;
  • Administrative running and budget planning, with the support of WIL’s Treasurer;
  • Organisation of Board of Directors’ meetings and General Assembly;
  • Building of relationships with international institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations;
  • Recruitment and team management (one employee, one intern and 4-6 volunteers);
  • Tools and process development.

Project Management

With the help of WIL’s Project Manager:

  • Overall planning and coordination of high-level events;
  • Organization of the management of WIL’s Women talent Pool program;
  • Management of the relationship with the members of the association and the participants of our Women Talent Pool program.

Communications

With the help of WIL’s Communications Intern:

  • Monitoring and background work on relevant issues for the network (gender equality, corporate social responsibility, digital transition...);
  • Drive the communication strategy of the association, which includes the management of the WIL website content and publishing of a regular newsletter;
  • Creating, managing and growing the organization’s presence through Twitter, LinkedIn and other strategically relevant online media;
  • Supervise a team of volunteers in conducting and transcribing WIL’s interviews.

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years of experience of working for NGOs or in communication, public affairs or a relevant field;
  • Excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is an asset;
  • Knowledge of and interest in societal issues, particularly at European level;
  • Hands on experience with social media management;
  • Networking and communication skills;
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Creativity and ability to come up with new ideas;
  • Ability to represent the interests of the organization in external meetings.
