CONTEXT

RUSI Europe studies, promotes, debates and reports on all issues relating to international defence and security in Europe and beyond. RUSI Europe is a not-for-profit international organisation, is independent of government and is committed to objectivity, integrity and impartiality in all of its work. RUSI Europe collaborates closely with its international parent organisation, RUSI, by exchanging expertise and by developing relationships with international stakeholders. Our fields of expertise include the critical issue of Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF).

In the context of a recently awarded 3-year European Commission grant (Project ‘CRAAFT’, which was launched in January 2020), RUSI Europe wishes to appoint a Senior Project Officer, who will be responsible for all non-research-related elements of Project CRAAFT.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Project CRAAFT combines two elements:

  1. The creation of a public-private information sharing network (PPIN) to promote knowledge sharing on terrorist financing threats and responses. The PPIN will be built through a number of events (such as conference calls, briefings, workshops and webinars);
  2. Academic research workstreams to support the planned events as well as specific, longer-term research projects.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced project officer to oversee the running of the project and develop a wide network of experts in Brussels and across Europe, as well as other parts of the globe.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in project and budget management, working with a range of stakeholders, event (workshops, webinars, conferences) organisation and coordination. They will have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
