Four Paws is an international animal welfare organization headquartered in Vienna. The organization, founded by Heli Dungler in 1988, is committed to sustainable campaigns and projects for animal welfare. The basis for this is scientific expertise, well-founded research and intensive national and international lobbying. The focus is on animals that are under direct human influence: stray dogs and cats, farm animals, wild and domestic animals as well as bears, big cats and orangutans from inappropriate breeds. FOUR PAWS wants to help animals in need directly and quickly.

We are looking for a positive thinking personality with a high affinity for animal welfare as soon as possible:

EU Communications Coordinator

Full time / Brussels office

Main tasks :

• Composing press releases and establishing media contacts
• Maintenance of the website and all Socila Media channels in coordination with the FOUR PAWS headquarters
• Supporting the flow of communication between the Brussels office and the German-speaking offices in Austria and Germany
• Support the team in organizing events and conferences
• Support of the team in the implementation of the CAROdog and CAROcat projects
• Support of the team with research tasks
• Support of the team in routine activities of the Brussels office

Conditions:

• Experience in the field of EU policy, ideally in agricultural and environmental policy
• Knowledge of the media landscape in Brussels
• Passion for animals
• German as first language
• Good research, writing and language skills in the English language
• Willingness to work mainly in the office in Brussels (under certain circumstances, a home office is also conceivable)
• Ability to present complex concepts in an understandable way
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
