The consortium COFAD GmbH/GOPA Com. is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert to assist the Fisheries and Aquaculture Monitoring and Evaluation Support Unit (FAME SU) located in Brussels.

Start of work should be as soon as possible. The present contract for the implementation of FAME SU is expected to conclude at the end of 2021. It is not yet known if the position will continue beyond this date. The position is as employee, following an initial trial period of 3 months.

Key requirement:

• At least five years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, ideally of European Structural Funds at the European level (ERDF, ESF, EAFRD, EMFF).

Additional skills:

• Degree in social sciences, public administration, statistics, fisheries or environmental sciences, or similar subjects or combinations thereof;
• Experience with drafting technical and synthetic reports;
• Good communicationand presentation skills for a range of audiences (policy-makers, experts, general public, etc.);
• Good organisational skills and familiarity with office procedures and hosting of events;
• A very good command of English, both spoken and written;
• An excellent command of MS Office Suite.

Desirable:

• Native English;
• EU Member State Citizen;
• Experience in data base management;
• Work experience or degree on fisheries and/or aquaculture and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
