Lexxion is offering the following full-time position (40hrs/week; English/German) in its Berlin team, ideally starting from 1 March 2020: Conference Manager.
Overview of role and requirements:
As Conference Manager, you support the conference department with the development and organisation of our conferences, workshops and seminars that take place all over Europe.
Your main tasks include:
- Development, planning and organisation of legal training events (in English);
- Recruitment of, and conceptual, organizational coordination with the speakers;
- Monitoring and analysis of the market regarding subject-relevant topics;
- Development of marketing products (flyers, CMS, etc.);
- Planning, implementing and managing marketing campaigns and activities (newsletters, social media, etc.);
- Organization and on-site support of events in Germany and throughout Europe;
- Responsibility for project calculations and budgets.
Your profile:
You successfully completed your studies with a focus on European law or in subject-related topics, such as European Studies. You already have professional experience in event organisation, ideally in a legal context.
Furthermore:
- You have relevant experience with developing and managing conferences;
- You have some knowledge and interest in European law;
- You have very good analytical-conceptual skills and can easily translate complex legal issues into clear and well-structured conference schedules;
- A thorough command of written and spoken English is essential, German is of advantage;
- You are excellent at planning and organising your work;
- You have good people skills and feel confident working together with, and approaching high-level experts;
- You have attention for details, and also an affinity for the big-picture, strategic thinking;
- Experience with European/national tenders would be a plus.
