:Researcher - GRID Unit
Main tasks:
You will become a member of CEPS’ staff and work in the GRID unit (Global Governance, Regulation, innovation and the Digital Economy);
You will conduct research activities within the “Hidden Treasures” project, which will run between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2022;
You will give presentations on topics related to the Hidden Treasures project at meetings and external events;
You will be in contact with stakeholders and policymakers, with a view to organising events and discussing policy proposals and recommendations;
You will write editorials and commentaries;
You will assist in the writing of interim and final project reports;
You will maintain the “Hidden Treasures” website;
You will report to the co-directors of the Hidden Treasures programme, Dr. Andrea Renda and Dr. Donald Kalff.
Your background and qualifications:
You are a researcher who is about to defend or has recently obtained a PhD in Law and Economics, Comparative Law and Economics, Public Policy, EU Policy or related issues;
You have a good knowledge of Law, Economics, Public Policy, Policy Evaluation;
You have a good ability to handle data and quantitative analysis;
You are able to critically read and comment on research reports and academic publications;
You have a proven record of writing and presentation skills;
You are willing and able to organise, moderate and contribute to events at CEPS and outside CEPS;
You have an excellent command of English, both orally and in writing, and a good knowledge of at least 2 other EU official languages.

You have a good understanding of the need to be outgoing and to use all possibilities of knowledge dissemination as a means of profiling your own work and that of the organisation;
You are able to handle stress, respect deadlines and are able to juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities;
You enjoy teamwork and are open to giving and receiving feedback;
You have, or are willing to develop insights into ongoing legislative and policy debates.
