About the position

The Project manager is responsible for the design, conceptualisation, implementation, evaluation and reporting of long-term projects. She/he works in the Program unit of the EGP office and reports to the Head of Unit.

Tasks and responsibilities

  1. Event management from A to Z of existing and new events and projects
  2. Supporting the head of unit in implementing project budgets, monitoring and reporting on them to the head of unit and the office director
  3. Keeping regular contact and coordinating with the stakeholders of events and projects (such as participants, project partners, providers, etc.)
  4. Cooperating with the other office units; providing relevant project information for their work and processing relevant input from the other units so that coherence is guaranteed
  5. Preparing timely and comprehensive documentation for the committee meetings
  6. Ensuring adequate project documentation (financial documents, photos, recordings, participants list, etc.) for archiving and reporting

Essential skills and qualifications

  1. At least 3 years of experience in managing different types of projects, especially the organisation of international events and conferences
  2. Experience in working in a political party or similar
  3. Experience with the financial management of projects
  4. Ability to identify with values of the European Greens and the Green Charter
  5. Ability to work independently and the ability to work in a multi-cultural team
  6. Capacity to operate in a fast-paced working environment
  7. Readiness for frequent work-related travel around Europe
  8. Good knowledge of written and spoken English; familiarity with other European languages is an asset.
