MGR Human Resources Ltd, member of MAP S.Platis Group of Companies, is a leading, broad HR Consulting, Training, Recruitment and Temporary Placements Agency. We are looking to hire a Project Assistant - ORAS for the European Union Agency for Asylum to be based in Malta.
The position
The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). EUAA is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.
Responsibilities
The Project Assistant will be working for the European Union Agency for Asylum - EUAA, supporting the several processes and projects managed by the Operational Resettlement and Humanitarian Admission Sector with the following tasks:
- Maintain and update activity-related databases and calendars;
- Support the management and logistics of the EUAA Resettlement and Humanitarian Admission Network and implementation of related activities via supporting Nacional Contact Points meetings, Working-and Expert Groups and thematic meetings;
- Provide administrative support to the Sector;
- Support the implementation and organization of activities and meetings at Sector level;
- Support the implementation of financial processes (e.g. reimbursements, registration of Legal Entities and Financial Entities forms)
- Support mission management of the Sector;
- Support on ICT related projects, such as Intranet/website/CRM and acting as Sector contact point for ICT related matters;
- Support on shipments and deliveries and acting as Sector’s contact point for logistic/maintenance related matters
- Support on Communication related matters;
- Support any other tasks as requested and required by the Head of Sector, including drafting e-mails and letters, taking minutes and drafting meeting reports, preparing presentations

- Good communication and drafting skills
- Ability work in a proactive, organized manner and to prioritize activities
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Attention detail, accuracy and numeracy
- Ability to analyze and structure information, to conceptualize problems and implement solutions especially taking into account operational aspects.
Competencies
- General knowledge of European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) and European Union Institutions functioning.;
- Previous experience with duties mentioned above is preferable.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Post-secondary education attested by a diploma or Secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education and appropriate professional experience of at least one year.
Remuneration
The position falls in hierarchical Category III and the associated salary is €31,928.64 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
