We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced individual to become our Quality of Life Programme Manager, starting in April 2021.
The European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) is a not for profit European network of nationally-based volunteer activists comprising of more than 170 members from 47 countries in Europe and Central Asia. Our members are representatives of different communities affected by HIV/AIDS. The nature of EATG implies that it has members all over WHO Europe and sometimes even beyond.
Since its foundation, EATG has been at the forefront of the development of the civil society response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Europe. It represents and defends the treatment-related interests of people living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS. Our activities focus on treatment literacy and treatment advocacy. A major goal for EATG, when it was founded in 1992, was supporting the simultaneous development of therapies in Europe, including not only antiretroviral therapies, but as well as treatments for opportunistic infections and other AIDS related conditions.
Under supervision of the Executive Director, and working alongside the Quality of Life Programme Chair, the successful candidate will oversee EATG's Quality of Life Programme:
Purpose:
To engage, inform and empower all people living with and affected by HIV in improving their health-related quality of life and holistic well-being throughout their life cycle, regardless of gender, age or context.
Expected 2025 high-level outcome:
Healthy communities of people living with and affected by HIV, with enhanced quality of life and access to effective, integrated health and support systems.
Supporting the creation and implementation of a programme that is relevant for the Long-Term Strategy of EATG, unique and inspiring for the EATG membership and the community of PLHIV.
Liasing with Programme Chair & Committee, EATG members, and other Programme Managers and staff. Ensuring constant flow of information to and collaboration with the Policy and Advocacy Manager.
Building relationships and networks with existing and new stakeholders specific to the Programme and representing EATG externally.
Manage the programme's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs in collaboration with the Finance Manager and overseeing contract creation.
Leading coordination for grant identification and proposal writing, and supporting the development of relationships with foundations, trusts, companies, organisations, and individuals who could become donors,funding sources or partners.
Providing ongoing monitoring of the status of programme and ensure appropriate measurement of programmatic and impact performance against stated milestones and goals.
