EPHA is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Coordinator to support our project work and fundraising by monitoring EU funding calls relevant to public health relevant under the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027. This includes researching and assessing the suitability of programmes and projects to advance the objectives of EPHA’s new Strategy. You will also be implementing associated policy/advocacy actions, in the field of public health financing, for the benefit of EPHA member organisations and civil society.
The position requires a good understanding of the EU health funding landscape, strong organisational and research skills, excellent communication abilities, and solid experience of project work: funding applications, project management and budgeting.
The role will involve:
- Monitoring EU funding streams, identifying and analysing suitable funding opportunities in line with EPHA’s Strategy
- Supporting fundraising and project applications
- Supporting the successful delivery of EPHA actions pertaining to public health funding, including capacity building activities aimed at members and other stakeholders
- Drafting policy documents (e.g., articles, briefings, letters) relating to public health financing
- Liaison with policymakers, civil society, academia and other partners
- Other activities as assigned
Eligibility – the successful candidate MUST meet all of the following criteria:
- Strong, demonstrable commitment to the EPHA’s vision and values
- A minimum of three years’ professional experience in relevant functions:fundraising, EU funding, project management, budgeting, policy coordination
- Excellent organisational skills, meeting strict deadlines, attention to detail
- Fluent English, excellent verbal/written communication skills;
- Independent self-starter with strong interpersonal and team-working skills;
- Enthusiastic about, and respectful of, working within a diverse community;
- Willingness to travel
- Flexibility regarding assigned topics
